2005 State Championship: Randolph High School - 2005 Class D State Champions!!

Randolph Girls Win State Volleyball Title  (excerpted from the Buffalo News 11/20/05)

      Randolph figured it had the talent during the off-season to make a run at a state in girls volleyball. As it turns out, the Cardinals were right as they captured their first Class D title, beating Section 1’s Haldane, 21-25, 25-14, 25-15, 25-13,  November 19, 2005 at Oneonta State. Randolph closed the season with 25 straight wins after opening with a four-game loss to Class AA school and Section VI semifinalist Jamestown.

“It’s awesome,” said senior Erica Adams, who finished with 15 kills. “We had a great team. We played awesome together. We just stuck together.” Junior Kaitlin Erdmann finished with 24 kills, while sophomore Hillary Wadsworth had 35 assists and 15 service points. The Randolph Girls Volleyball team is coached by Robin Maycock.

 STATS Randolph Pool Play Results: 6 – 0 Randolph finished 29 – 1; 14 – 0 in CCAA Division II League MVP and 1st Team All Western NY (small school) – Kaitlin Erdmann
